The APP facility in EMMA is designed to be used exactly the way APP was intended ie as a tool to help improve assessment

EMMA takes everything a step forward, however, by fully integrating APP into the overall assessment and planning process, thereby making everything much easier, more manageable and, crucially, more effective.

  • EMMA based on the 'standard' APP records enabling assessments to be made against each of the criteria for each assessment focus in each subject area.
  • The use of benchmark groups helps focus assessments and reduce record keeping; the flexibility exists to enable notes to be made about individual pupils and overall levels adjusted for individual pupils and not just the benchmark group.
  • APP assessments are tracked automatically.
  • 'Child speak' learning targets can be set for each benchmark group in each subject.
  • Curriculum targets (and curriculum strengths and weaknesses) are identified automatically
